Health authorities are rushing to test all 3000 residents in nine public housing towers that were locked down over the weekend in Melbourne, amid fears among health officials that hundreds of tenants could be infected.
"There are people living in large concentrations. These are vertical cruise ships, we need to take particular notice and pay particular attention to make sure the spread is minimised," acting Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly said.
