Timelines for Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout are slipping, with senior health officials conceding second doses of the AstraZeneca jab might not be administered by the Morrison government’s October target.

Scott Morrison this week stepped away from a target for 4 million vaccination injections to have been completed by the end of March, and Health Department secretary Brendan Murphy on Thursday said some people might not have a second injection until mid-December.
