Australia could be less than 30 days away from reaching the critical 80 per cent full vaccination milestone required for reopening, as jurisdictions including NSW, the ACT and Victoria power ahead on double-dose rates.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison implored Australians on Thursday to finish the task, calling on laggard states including Western Australia and Queensland to better protect themselves against the risk from delta through more jabs.
