UAP candidate granted bail days before federal election

A candidate running for Clive Palmer’s United Australia Party in the Victorian seat of Higgins has told a court just days out from the election that he was kept in solitary confinement and denied water while in custody.
Ingram Spencer faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was granted bail after being charged with 13 offences, including the use of a carriage service to harass.
