The High Court will drastically cut back the number of special leave hearings that help sort out which cases it takes on, and the barrister who makes a fortune out of them is delighted.
In a significant procedural move, the court has announced it will scrap monthly special leave days from the court calendar and decide almost all applications behind closed doors.
