‘They’re killing every day’: Wong weighs sanctions on Myanmar junta

Canberra | Australia is “actively considering” sanctioning the leaders of Myanmar’s military junta after joining Western allies to condemn the regime’s execution of pro-democracy advocates.
Foreign Minister Penny Wong said on Tuesday she was “appalled” by the executions of the four democracy activists, including Phyo Zeya Thaw, an expelled parliamentarian with links to Australia.
