The PM has two goals for this US trip
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will lock Australia into the Biden administration’s far-reaching Inflation Reduction Act, including developing incentives for American firms to invest in Australia, when he embarks on a four-day official visit to Washington DC this week.
Mr Albanese will also try to kickstart AUKUS-related legislation which has stalled because of congressional dysfunction, lobbying key lawmakers to pass several bills including one authorising the sale of Virginia-class submarines to the Australian navy.
