Teal candidate Nicolette Boele has apologised for making a sexual joke to a 19-year-old hairdresser in the electorate she hopes to win, conceding it was a poor attempt at humour.
The incident risks disrupting Boele’s campaign to win Bradfield, a seat on Sydney’s north shore the Liberals have held since its inception.
