Tasmanian firebrand Jacqui Lambie’s federal parliamentary political party has shrunk from two senators to one after Tammy Tyrrell decided to go it alone as a crossbench independent.
Senator Tyrrell, who was elected as a Jacqui Lambie Network senator at the 2022 election, made the shock announcement late on Thursday, citing a rift between herself and the party leader.
