‘Sliding door moment’ looms to curb NDIS growth

A deal to slow explosive NDIS spending will pass parliament with support from the Coalition, after Labor agreed to amendments banning sexual services, improving data transparency and boosting fraud protections.
Disability Minister Bill Shorten is continuing tense negotiations with the states and territories about taking on more of the cost of foundational supports, including care provision through education and health systems.
