Senate battle looms after IR laws pass lower house

Anthony Albanese has held talks with David Pocock while business groups intensified their lobbying of the key Senate crossbencher, after the government’s industrial relations legislation passed the lower house on Thursday.
All attention is now focused on the Senate battle that will begin in earnest when parliament next sits on November 21 for the final fortnight of the year.
