Scott Morrison ties public service pay to private sector wage growth

Pay for federal bureaucrats will be tied to wage growth in the private sector, with the Morrison government announcing plans to rewrite public service pay policies and review generous bonuses.
In a move criticised by public service unions, the existing 2 per cent wage increase cap will be abolished and increases delivered in line with the private sector wage price index.
