Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth will take on responsibility for the National Disability Insurance Scheme when Bill Shorten retires from politics next week, while Aged Care Minister Anika Wells will take his spot in cabinet.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced Ms Wells’ elevation on Thursday, praising her for securing the passage through parliament last year of the most significant aged care reforms of “this century”.
