Report findings pave the way for North West Shelf go ahead

A scientific report at the centre of the Albanese government’s move to delay a decision on the future of Woodside’s North West Shelf project has allayed environmental and cultural concerns over the impact of the major gas facility.

Woodside has been waiting for more than six years for state and federal approval to extend the life of the gas facility on the WA Burrup Peninsula, with Environment Minister Murray Watt expected to announce a decision next week.
