Qld corruption watchdog overhaul ‘will not please all’

The Queensland corruption watchdog has been handed more powers to release details of its investigations, after a probe into former Labor deputy premier Jackie Trad was shrouded in secrecy.

But the landmark report from former chief justice Catherine Holmes will restrict the Crime and Corruption Commission from making commentary or express opinions about elected officials involved in investigations unless they have been found guilty.
