PsiQuantum deal will cost almost $30m just to check it works

The Albanese government will spend almost $30 million to monitor the $940 million investment in PsiQuantum, the Silicon Valley quantum computing group chosen by Industry Minister Ed Husic as a key plank of his innovation policy.

But the federal budget shows artificial intelligence is getting far less funding, with the government planning to establish a permanent expert group to guide its approach to artificial intelligence, as first reported by The Australian Financial Review.
