Anthony Albanese has suggested there could be further proceedings against Ben Roberts-Smith, as he defended the reputation of Australia’s armed forces in the wake of the civil findings against the disgraced former SAS trooper.
And, amid debate over whether Mr Roberts-Smith should keep his medals, including the Victoria Cross, the Australian War Memorial rejected calls to remove displays of him, including his presence in the Hall of Valour.
