In the senate election for Western Australia in 2022, Fatima Payman received 1681 votes directly. This was 0.01 per cent of the votes cast. Had the election been calculated on direct votes, Ms Payman would have been No. 11 in a vote for six senators. She was elected because she was No. 3 on the Labor ticket.
