NSW’s ambitious plan to build 30,000 new homes

NSW Treasurer Daniel Mookhey has unveiled an ambitious plan to build 30,000 new homes on government-owned land in a bid to make home ownership achievable.
High interest rates and construction costs have led to the pace of construction slowing to a decade low. That, combined with soaring house prices, has led to residents leaving NSW in search for affordable properties.
