Peter Dutton says he is prepared to meet with the government’s referendum working group, using Australia Day celebrations to push for detail on how the proposed Indigenous Voice to parliament would work.
Ahead of party room talks in which Liberal MPs will decide whether to support or oppose Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s planned constitutionally enshrined Indigenous advisory body, Mr Dutton said he still needed “reasonable questions answered” about its scope and function.
