Billions of dollars in funding awarded by the Morrison government will come under fresh parliamentary scrutiny as a new inquiry reviews the Coalition’s most controversial discretionary grant programs.
Three programs subject to scathing reports by the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) will be included in the Labor-led review, which could result in a shake-up of the rules underpinning how the federal government awards taxpayer funds.
