New identity system paves way for national sharing of drivers licences

Citizens will be able to easily use their drivers and occupational licences across the country after digital ministers agreed to expand the proposed national identity scheme to include credentials.
Meeting in Melbourne, federal ministers accepted a push from state and territory ministers to include digital credentials as part of the new digital identity system.
