Backlash grows against Nationals’ Voice rejection
Nationals leader David Littleproud is facing an internal revolt over the party’s rejection of a Voice to parliament, with Indigenous leader Noel Pearson savaging the decision and state and federal MPs promising to defy the policy.
Mr Pearson blamed Northern Territory senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and conservative think tanks including the Nicholas Moore-chaired Centre for Independent Studies and the Institute of Public Affairs for politicising Indigenous policy, prompting the Country Liberal to hit back.
