Ministers on corruption notice over pork barrelling
Amid the fiasco that has surrounded the hamfisted attempt to appoint former NSW deputy premier John Barilaro to a New York trade job, the Independent Commission against Corruption published a carefully considered review of pork barrelling.
In a conclusion that has direct implications for other jurisdictions and the proposed new federal integrity regime, ICAC found that pork barrelling could constitute corrupt conduct in certain circumstances.
