The University of Sydney vice chancellor has sent the clearest possible message: he is prepared to accept some violence and hatred to appease extremists who threaten more violence and hatred.
Vice chancellor Mark Scott used this week’s Higher Education Summit as a platform to double down on his assertion that the University of Sydney had appropriately managed the encampment of pro-Palestinian protesters.
