Liberal Party internal research has found that Prime Minister Scott Morrison's charm offensive is starting to work in the battleground state of Victoria with blue-collar and outer-suburban voters, providing hope in what was one of the Coalition's weakest states.
Party sources said they had seen Mr Morrison's heavy presence in Victoria turn around what had been a "horrendous" situation two months ago, when many Victorians were still angry at the Liberal Party over the removal of leader Malcolm Turnbull.
