The Liberal Party candidate for the blue-ribbon Sydney seat of Bradfield says women wanting to represent the party in federal parliament must get better at fighting preselection battles and be prepared to lose on their first go.

And despite gunning to represent the only Liberal-held seat that voted Yes in the 2023 referendum to establish an Indigenous Voice to Parliament, tech executive Gisele Kapterian said she voted No for the same reason she voted Yes in the same-sex marriage plebiscite in 2017.
