Skills Minister Brendan O’Connor says resetting negotiations over the stalled $12 billion National Skills Agreement will be his No. 1 priority, as Australia faces the second-worst labour shortages in the developed world.
Mr O’Connor said contentious policies pushed by the Coalition and rejected by states, potentially including national pricing models and centralised determination of in-demand skills, were being reassessed by Labor.
