Labor's income tax call fiscally irresponsible: Cormann

The government has effectively accused Labor of wanting to blow the budget by insisting that it bring forward the second round of tax cuts to boost the flagging economy.
Labor went to the election vowing to repeal stage two and three of the tax cuts on the basis they were unaffordable. Now it is calling on the government to consider bringing forward stage two from its legislated start date of July 1, 2022.
