Labor MP in Canberra hotel altercation

A Victorian State Labor MP will seek treatment for addiction and mental health issues after being questioned by police for destroying a door during a dispute over luggage at a Canberra Hotel.
Backbencher Will Fowles offered an unreserved apology for his "appalling behaviour" and has promised to pay kicking down the door to a luggage store room as he announced he was taking leave.
