Labor adds $16.5b road and rail projects
Labor has committed an additional $16.5 billion over 10 years to new and existing road and rail projects, which Infrastructure Minister Catherine King said were needed to improve “productivity, liveability, and sustainability”.
Just over $4.5 billion was committed over 10 years to 65 new infrastructure projects, increasing the size of the pipeline by nearly 10 per cent in a single year; though just a dozen projects were revealed in the budget on Tuesday.
