King Charles declares democracies ‘must evolve’ on Australian tour

King Charles has declared that democratic systems must “evolve” ahead of meeting Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton and prominent Australians at Parliament House on Monday.

The King and his wife, Queen Camilla, were greeted by hundreds of well-wishers in Sydney on Sunday where the king declared it a “great joy” to return to Australia, on the first full day of their Australian tour.
