Israel pushes Australia on Iran, says ‘extreme measures’ required
Israel wants Australia to toughen its stance against Iran by designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp a terrorist organisation, and sanctioning any party that provides it or its proxies with support.
After Israel and its allies fended off an Iranian-led attack of more than 300 missiles and drones on the weekend, its deputy ambassador to Australia Chris Cantor said it was in everyone’s interest to reduce the military capabilities of Iran and its proxies.
