Infrastructure Australia’s independence must be maintained: business
Business wants the Albanese government to maintain a predominantly independent board to oversee Infrastructure Australia, welcoming a major shake-up set to better connect the advisory body and federal cabinet.
Infrastructure Minister Catherine King on Thursday announced plans to disband the organisation’s board and appoint three commissioners and a new advisory committee, part of plans to ditch an unwieldy priority list and improve co-ordination with state government advisers.
