Infrastructure Australia board disbanded over waning influence
Sidelined because of its waning influence, Infrastructure Australia will slash its list of unwieldy priorities and offer a targeted pick of big projects to the federal government under a major shake-up in which the board will be disbanded.
After a review ordered by Infrastructure Minister Catherine King, the expert advisory body will be asked to develop a nationally consistent planning and assessment system for big projects and to improve coordination with state government advisory panels.
