Australia’s new infection super agency will be given authority to co-ordinate national responses and manage any future pandemic as the centrepiece of the COVID-19 review due to be handed to government on Monday.
Legislation will give the Australian Centre for Disease Control powers to act quickly in the case of a new COVID-like pathogen, leading and advising on infection control.
