‘I would not recommend ASIC’: scathing assessment by staff

The full results of a confidential cultural survey conducted by ASIC into itself have been revealed and provide a scathing assessment of staff motivation, satisfaction and the corporate regulator’s leadership team.

The embarrassing results follow a 20-month Senate inquiry, which made its findings public in July, that concluded the Australian Securities and Investments Commission was a “toothless tiger” and, in the view of Coalition and Greens senators, should be broken up.
