Federal Industry Minister Ed Husic deserves credit for breaking ranks and stating the obvious – without significant tax reform, including a cut to the corporate tax rate, Australia’s ambitions to be a globally competitive and innovative economy will come to naught.

If we don’t get tax right, we don’t get our economy right. Talk of energy superpowers, futures made in Australia and other lofty ambitions are meaningless if our convoluted and outdated tax systems remain unfit for purpose.
