Hopes sink for Qld quarantine facility
The millionaire Wagner family and Queensland government have written off the prospects of a privately-funded quarantine camp in Toowoomba after Prime Minister Scott Morrison again refused to endorse the plan.
After National Cabinet on Friday, Mr Morrison left the door open for a possible co-investment with the Victorian government for its $200 million 500-bed quarantine facility north of Melbourne, but not other state-based facilities, such as those in Queensland.
