Senator Linda Reynolds says she will proceed with her defamation lawsuit against Brittany Higgins and her fiancé David Sharaz unless the pair accept Federal Court findings there was no cover-up of Ms Higgins’ rape.

The former Liberal staffer, who was raped by her colleague Bruce Lehrmann in Senator Reynold’s Parliament House office in 2019, said she disagreed with some of Federal Court Justice Michael Lee’s findings and had different perceptions to her former boss as to what happened after she was raped.
