A new approach is being sought by the public service to speed up the commercialisation of innovation, new designs and technological breakthroughs to boost growth in Australia's business economy.

The Australian Department of Industry and Science is looking for a private enterprise-oriented director who will have the formal title of director, accelerating commercialisation for the Entrepreneurs' Programme, the government's flagship initiative for business competitiveness and productivity at firm level.
