Greens candidate Stephen Bates has won the seat of Brisbane, with Labor conceding defeat on Saturday afternoon.

Mr Bates has become the fourth Greens candidate to win a seat at the federal election. The party won the Queensland seats of Griffith and Ryan, and retained the seat of Melbourne.
