For the crowd of up to 50,000 construction workers in Melbourne that stopped work and rallied against the CFMEU’s administration on Tuesday, several key people were notably absent.

Despite the chants of “John Setka here to stay” or “Derek Christopher [Setka’s expected successor] here to stay”, none of the departed CFMEU Victorian leadership were actually present.
