ABC managing director David Anderson has rejected criticisms of the public broadcaster’s reporting on rape allegations against Attorney-General Christian Porter, calling them essential public interest journalism.
Facing Senate estimates hearings as Parliament House is rocked by a growing number of sex and misconduct allegations, Mr Anderson said reporting by Four Corners on an anonymous letter alleging Mr Porter raped a woman in 1988 was of “the highest quality”.
