Efficient courts and speedier justice are good for the economy

The same rules that apply to other public services where data is used to improve performance, should also apply to the courts,

The average judge is not subject to the same degree of scrutiny and criticism as the average politician, with the possible exception being the ongoing public debate about sentencing decisions for violent crimes.

As a rule, allowing Australia’s independent justice system to run its course upholds the separation of powers, and helps maintain respect for the law. The politicisation of courts that is now entrenched in the US should be avoided.
