As he made his way from Goulburn in the key seat of Eden-Monaro to the NSW south coast in the marginal seat of Gilmore on Wednesday, Peter Dutton popped into the pub at Moss Vale for an unlikely campaign event.

Moss Vale, a pretty town in the Southern Highlands, is in the Labor seat of Whitlam, held by Financial Services Minister Stephen Jones with a healthy 8.3 per cent margin.
