At the heart of Jason Clare’s universities accord is one very big ambition: to double the number of young people who have a degree over the next 25 years and, importantly, draw them from the very groups who don’t traditionally go to university.

People from rural and regional backgrounds, particularly young men, kids from poor and Indigenous families, and those whose parents never got the benefit of their own university education.
