National Anti-Corruption Commission boss Paul Brereton has admitted to getting the balance wrong in assessing a possible conflict of interest related to the robo-debt scandal, but says he is working to correct the mistake.
Last month, Justice Brereton was found to have engaged in misconduct when he involved himself in proceedings that rejected the need for further investigation into the illegal welfare debt recovery program.
