Conservative shift on colonial legacy under way: Mundine

Indigenous leader Warren Mundine has welcomed shifting conservative assessments of the legacy of colonialism in Australia, echoing comments from former Coalition minister David Kemp.

The first Indigenous national president of the Labor Party and a Liberal candidate at the 2019 federal election, Mr Mundine praised a reassessment by the senior Howard government minister and sections of the conservative movement ahead of this year's 250th anniversary of the arrival of Captain James Cook.
