Chinese furious over Australia's travel ban 'overreaction'
Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton says the Morrison government cannot act contrary to the advice of medical professionals as he defends the coronavirus travel ban against criticism from China it was an overreaction.
Following Prime Minister Scott Morrison's confirmation the ban would be rolled over for another week until February 22, the Chinese embassy in Canberra expressed its "deep regret and dissatisfaction" over the extension.
